I build small, sharp
tools and write about it.

Engineer and operator. Currently at Harvard Business School, shipping side projects, and reading more than is reasonable. This is the field notebook.

Now

  1. Shipped a tiny CLI that wraps git stash with named entries. Honestly the best 30 minutes I have spent this month.

  2. Reading Designing Data-Intensive Applications. Chapter 3 on storage engines is wild — LSM-trees vs. B-trees finally clicked.

  3. New Astro site is live. Took about three hours from clone to deploy — most of that was deciding on type, not writing code.

  4. Coffee-fueled bug hunt. Won. The fix was one line; finding it took four hours.
